Q. How can I get an installation code?

A. Log on to the customer website at www.OmanCo.com and select Install Code next to the product, or call Oman Systems toll free at 1-800-541-0803.


Q. How can I get my databases including jobs to a new user if we are not on a network?

A. Create a System Backup file and send it to the new user.  The new user can then perform the Restore Datafiles procedure.


Q.
We are using ProEstimate Network; is it necessary to create a system backup file for the new user?

A.
No, the benefit of ProEstimate Network is the data files reside on a server and are shared amoung ALL users.  Installing the User files  and pointing to the shared network folder will allow access to the databases.  Note: The new user must be added in the Security Database before logging into ProEstimate Network with their credentials.


Q. My laptop is on a Network, but I will be working out of the office. Can I work from a location where I am not connected to the server?

A.
Yes, first select "This computer is a Laptop" on the Preferences/ Back Up tab. Each time that you close the estimating program, you will be asked if you want to Un-Sync. If you answer "Yes," simply follow the prompts. For more information see "Syncing" in this help system.


Q. Will ProEstimate Heavy run on 64 Bit Windows?

A.
Yes, open the Program Preferences and select the Back Up tab and check the box next to "64 Bit Operating System." For more information see Program Preferences - Back Up tab.
