Merging Estimates
Q. Can two people work on the same estimate seperately and later merge the two into one estimate?
A. Yes, first determine which items each estimator will work. For instance one estimator works on road and drainage, the second estimator works on structures. Use the Save to Disk option to get a copy of the estimate to the other estimator. To merge follow the help system to first export project data creating the files for the main estimator to import project data .
Q. When I un-sync from the Network can I merge the estimate back after working in "Stand-Alone" mode?
A. No, there is not a merge option when Syncing back with the Network. Instead when re-syncing with the Network you are prompted to:
COPY - puts a copy of the estimate from your local system on the Network and leaves the original estimate "as-is".
OVERWRITE - will replace existing project on the Network with the project on your local system.
DO NOTHING - will leave the estimate on the Network and delete it from your local system.
