Q. How do I restore from back-up files?

A. Follow the steps to create the System Backup files; once the files are available you can perform the Restore Datafiles procedure.


Q. We have been creating Auto Backup files, how can we restore from the most recent backup?

A.
Open the Back Up/Restore window and select "Restore from Auto Backup" option and press the  button.  A window will appear listing all available dates with backup files.  Select the latest date and press the OK button.  For more information see help topic Restore from Auto Backup.


Q. Can I restore a project to an earlier time?

A.
Yes, everytime a project is opened, closed or the SAVE button is pressed, a backup file is created.  Select Restore Project Data option which open a window displaying all projects, select the project and time/file-size and select Restore.  Note: If an error occured and data is missing from the job, look for the larger file size vs latest time created.


Q. Can I restore a pay item to an earlier time?

A.
Yes, everytime a project is opened, closed or the Save button is pressed, a backup file is created. Select File - Restore Pay Item option which opens a window displaying all backup times, select one and press Restore.
