All data files should be periodically backed-up to CD, another computer or server on your network. If something were to happen to the computer, ProEstimate HEAVY can easily be re-installed on the computer, BUT all the data that had been entered (project files, contractor databases, pay item databases, etc.) would be lost. To prevent this from happening, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that a regular back-up schedule should be established (at least once a month).

Note for ProEst Network Users**

For most operations in this chapter, you will be required to to insure that all other users are out of the program before performing file maintenance operations.
