Q. Can I export my estimate costs to a file for accounting department to budget?
A. Yes, ProEstimate Heavy can export the costs for a project at various levels, depending upon the needs of the client. The general procedure is to identify the accounting "package" being utilized and whether it can import a cost file. If the format needs to be changed, then contact Oman Systems and we will modify the export to match your needs, within reason.
Q. I use the same accounting package as a "sister" company, but we track our costs differently. How will this impact our exported accounting file?
A. Even though two companies have the same accounting package, each company will "tailor" it to their specific for needs. Oman Systems realizes this and accommodates this by assigning each client a unique ID specific to their accounting export configuration.
