Pro Estimate Heavy
Overview
ProEstimate-HEAVY is a program specifically designed for heavy/highway contractors and subcontractors to assist in the preparation of a bid. This program substantially reduces the amount of time necessary to prepare an estimate and increases the amount of information available to both the estimator and management ten-fold. This program will help the estimator prepare a more accurate proposal. The need to prepare an estimate by hand or by using a spreadsheet program becomes obsolete. The amount of information received from the program is proportionate to the amount of information entered. You can bid your work with as little or as much detail as you desire. ProEstimate - HEAVY contains multiple levels of options which provide varying levels of detail. At every level, the program has been designed to be easy to learn and use.
From our software's conception as an in-house estimating system for Oman Construction Company, we have understood the specific needs of a contractor. The estimating techniques used in the program are long proven and used throughout the industry. Program Highlights
Increased Productivity
- Ability to load pay items and quantities directly from a State-supplied bid disk, spreadsheet file or Expedite file into ProEstimate-HEAVY.
Save existing resources into the crew database. One of the most powerful features of ProEstimate-HEAVY is the ability to create crews and save
them in a database. A crew can contain default production rates, labor, equipment, material, subs, and other costs; it can also contain
hauling, blasting and trenching work sheets. Crews DO NOT have to be created prior to loading them as a task. " Create a master project enabling
you to import all the required resources for a specific pay item. Your estimate can be ready for review within seconds of loading the Pay Items
from your electronic file. " Copy or duplicate tasks within a pay item.
Eliminate Errors
- All calculations are performed within the program. The possibilities of miscalculations in a spreadsheet are virtually eliminated.
A Project Closing menu allows you to go through all the steps to complete a bid, including a comprehensive "bid check" to highlight
possible errors or omissions.
Reduce System Maintenance
- ProEstimate-HEAVY has auto updating features built into the program. These updates will
keep your system working properly and up to date with the latest computer platforms and technology. With both estimating and computer expertise,
we provide a staff dedicated to superior customer support.
Standardization
- All of your estimators can be working from one standardized set of databases. The databases include:
Labor Rate Databases, Equipment Rate Database, Material, Asphalt and Concrete Mix Database and Contractor Database.
You can create "pricing sheets" within an estimate that allow you to track and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
You can have Pay Item databases for each state DOT (or any bidding authority such as COE or municipality), as well as maintain plug
prices for each pay items, which can then be used to generate quick estimates to determine job size and work mix. Average prices
can also be loaded for each pay item from our BidTabs Professional program. A Security database is provided to restrict access to all, or part,
of the program. The Security database is set up by user name allowing for different security settings for different users. This option is used
to protect your sensitive data. Flexible mark-up system allows the estimator to use percentages or to enter mark-up for individual pay items
or for the entire job. A comprehensive project-indirects system allows you to enter project related overhead items and spread those costs
into the bid. Print a large variety of different reports that provide varying amounts of information on an estimate. A brief list of the
available reports: spreadsheet- style reports, bid reports, labor and equipment utilization, balance reports, profit analysis report,
sub/supplier/minority reports, material requirements, task detail, custom quote sheets, and many more. We also have the ability to easily
design custom reports if you require.
