Development Technologies
Field Managment Pro has been developed using VB.NET and Visual
Studio. VB.NET is an object oriented Microsoft development language used to develop Windows
based applications. Other technologies included in FMP are Microsoft Web Services, Crystal Reports reporting engine and Infragistics Controls for .NET.
FMP also utilizes Microsoft's "Click-Once" technology for deployment and update management. The Database engine for Field Management Pro is Microsoft SQL Server.
The Office system database engine is SQL Server 2005 and the Field system is SQL Express 2005. Sql Server
is an ideal platform for the multiple users and remote access requipments of FMP.
